The Canadian Herschel support office for HIFI has ceased operation on the 31st of March 2016.
This support page is now in a static mode. We have ensured that all links pointing to data
processing are being re-directed to the
European Space Agency. You will still be able to obtain help through the HSC

Many Canadian astronomers are involved with Herschel,
a space observatory for far infrared and submillimeter wavelengths. Herschel is a cornerstone mission of the
European Space Agency (ESA) and Canadian participation in this
mission is managed through the Canadian Space Agency (CSA).
NASA is also a partner in Herschel and
maintains a Herschel webpage as well. Herschel was launched
on May 14, 2009 and ceased operation on April 29, 2013.
Canadians participated in building two of the three instruments that Herschel carries:
(Spectral and Photmetric Imaging Receiver) a bolometer "camera" and fourier transform spectrometer,
and HIFI (Heterodyne Instrument for the Far Infrared),
a high resolution spectrometer. The third instrument on Herschel is
PACS (Photoconductor Array Camera), an imaging photometer or an integral
