Nov 17: International Year of Astronomy Star Gazing Party

The University of Waterloo and the Royal Astronomical Society of Canada (KW branch) hosted another public observing night, with astronomy experimenents, displays and presentations. Thank you to all participants for making this event a tremendous success.

International Year of Astronomy Lecture Series

On June 2, 2009, world-renowned scientist, Dr. Brian Schmidt of Harvard University presented his fascinating talk “The Universe from Beginning to End” here at the University of Waterloo. Missed his explanation of the big bang theory? How dark matter and dark energy intertwine?  Not a problem! We have it for you here for your viewing pleasure.
